Hit and miss here depending on the owner and/or chef on the day. Been going for many years due to location and the nice sized beer garden. Foods value for money.
When it's good it's good but as a chain pub you can get a bad meal. No issues on our last visit. One of our go to pubs either way. Can get busy so booking is a good idea.
Great food all meals were cooked really well. very well and a good selection on the menu also some really good daily offers.Regards Frank Martin
Had a lovely pint here followed by a sirloin steak which I asked medium to well done. Well it was still bleeding badly and full of gristle. So summary I spent a lot of money for warm salad and fries and a bloody chewy steak that was sadly left uneaten. Never again
Went there after white water rafting for grandsons birthday. Not a place I would choose but it's cheap and cheerful for children. The food was adequate except for my 12oz rump which was full of gristle. My own fault for thinking I would get a nice quality steak for the price I paid.
